A tool-tip added to each field in GIS Data Downloader Windows to help users to understand how each element works.
1- “Zone Name”:
Description of the current Area. This name will be used to define name of the DEM file.
2- Coordinates Bounds
The coordinates of the top-left and bottom-right corners of the area in WGS84 decimal Latitude-Longitude.
3- Buttons
"Open Map Helper" : Open interactive online map to select area bounds.
Paste Coordinates: Insert coordinates copied from interactive map.
Zone Info + Optimized Input: Calculate and Debug the optimized inputs + Information about selected area (Length + width) in [Km].
Save Zone: Save Area Bounds to file.
Load Zone: Load Area Bounds from a file that is already saved.
4- Download Path
Terrain Path: Select a directory to store downloaded data, by clicking on ‘Select Location’ button.
Export DEM as: Select the DEM output file format (Tiff, Ascii, Raw).
Raw Heightmap Resolution: The pixel resolution of the Terrain’s Heightmap that will be generated.
5- DEM Downloader
Download DEM Data: Enable/Disable DEM Downloading.
DEM Source: Elevation provider.
Username + Password : Identification for Earth data to get access to SRTM30 elevation.
KEY: Token Key get it by registration
